Here Lyeth the body of John Warton second sonne to Michaell Warton of Beverley in the county of Yorke esq by Susanna his wife daughter to the Right Honourable John Lord Poulet Baron of Hinton St George who died 18th October 1656 in the 6th Year of his age.

Here Lyeth the body of Michael Warton of Beverley in the county of Yorke who was the eldest son of Sir Michael Warton and grandson and heir to Sir Michael Warton of Beverley Parke Kt. He married the honourable Susanna Poulet daughter to the Right Honourable John Lord Poulet Baron of St Hinton St George by whom he had four sons and three daughters Michael, John Ralph and Charles, Elizabeth, Susanna and Mary. He was baptised 27th Day of April 1623 and died at London 9th August 1688 in the 65th year of his age.

Here lieth the body of Ralph Warton of Beverley third son of Michael Warton by the honourable Susanna his wife, daughter of the right honourable John Lord Poulet. He was born on 13th day of July in the year of our Lord 1656 and died on 22nd day of March in the year of our Lord 1708/9.

Here lieth the body of Sir Michael Warton late of Beverley Parks Knight eldest son of Michael Warton esquire who departed this life 25 March 1725 aged 73. He gave his Life Time in Charities and other Gifts to this Town fix Thousand Pounds and left by Will to be a perpetual Fund for repairs of this Fabrick Four Thousand Pounds to augment the Hospital founded by his Father one thousand Pounds to the Charity School five hundred pounds and ordered to be distributed at his Death to the Poor of the several parishes of this Town two hundred pounds. He was descended from a Family always firmly attached to the publick Good who excepting fome short intervals represented this Borough in Parliament several successive Generations a little before his Deathhe religned his Interest to his Nephew the Honourable Sir Michael Newton Knight of the Bath his Executor by whom this monument was erected.
